I’ve always dreamed of having my own boutique. A place to visit with friends and make new ones. It would be stocked with items that send my heart racing in the hopes that others would feel the same way. I worked in the fashion industry for over thirty years, selling to stores, hosting trunk shows, and even managing a store, hoping that my career would eventually lead to having one of my own.

My "Pearls" scrapbook was stuffed with pictures from magazines and photos to create the look and feel of my imaginary store. From the beginning, the name was Pearls. No matter who you are or how you wear pearls, they make you look and feel ladylike. Pearls are luxurious, ageless, and timeless. Pearls can be both traditional and modern. Women over the age of forty remember when a pearl necklace and studs were wardrobe staples and quality clothes were the norm. Our daughters have discovered the value of classics that stand the test of time, just like the generations of women before us.

When a beautiful retail space became available next door to everyone's favorite restaurant, Julienne in San Marino, I knew it was now or never. I can’t think of a better location for it. Pearls and San Marino/Pasadena go hand in hand. The community has a rich history of quiet elegance that still exists today.

On our six-year anniversary, another dream came true when I opened a second Pearl in my hometown of Newport Beach. I spent my teen years sailing with my dad, playing with my Sea Queens, and eating Balboa Bars, so it was sentimental to settle into Pearls second home on Balboa Island. There has always been a strong connection between the San Marino/Pasadena and Newport/Laguna communities, and it is now stronger than ever.

I'm also thrilled to offer our online boutique, which makes it convenient for Pearls Girls to shop wherever they are.

I opened Pearls doors with the goal of providing unique and quality collections that complement a lady's lifestyle. My purpose was also to give back to the communities that have been so good to my family by hosting fundraisers for local charities. I'm so grateful to our amazing Pearls family, friends, and clients who have helped to make my dreams come true and make our little boutiques such a lovely place to be. The door will always be open at Pearls to visit, dream, and fall in love!
